DANNY WILDE Scragglers N-Progress

Before The Rembrandts would reunite in 2000, Danny Wilde released another album on MP3.COM called N-Progress. Later repackaged as Scragglers, the album was something of a step in a new direction. As usual, there are some fantastic songs---Mess and When We Get There jump right out as the catchiest of the bunch, while tracks like Liam, Natali, and the Jayhawk-ish Everyone Lets You Down showcase the more mellow, introspective qualities of the album. The fact that Scragglers was a self produced effort was a sign of things to come---while Danny was certianly not done writing and recording his own material, he would soon be spending even more of his time producing and writing for other artists. Later that year, Wilde and guitarist Jesse Cook had a top 20 AC hit with a cover of the Crowded House classic Fall At Your Feet.
